Something For Everyone!
The Eastern Montana Horse Show Circuit is designed to be family oriented yet the competition in the more advanced classes is fairly stiff. There are classes that include Lead Line Equitation for the very young and young at heart , english classes, western classes, speed events, and fun classes like the costume contest. The show offers involvement for children and adults alike.
All types of disciplines for all ages of horses for all skill levels can be found in the list of classes at right.

Eastern Montana Horse Show Circuit shows are open to all breeds of horses. You do not have to be a member in order to participate in any of the shows sponsored by EMHSC unless you wish to be eligible for year end high point awards.Individual Membership - $15
Family Membership - $25
-Pee Wee Riders are those age 9 and under.
-Adult riders are those age 15 and over
-Novice competitors are competitors of any age not to have one three 1st place awards in any open or breed association show or won a year end award in that class. Note for example that an experienced reiner may be a novice showmanship contestant or vice versa. Competitors who qualify are considered novice for the full competition year per event.
-Junior Horse entries are those horses 5 years of age or younger.
-Green Horse is open to horses in their first year of showing.
-One horse can only be shown once per class per age division except in youth speed events.
-Jack Benny is open to riders 39 years of age and older.

The show will be held at the Powder River Country Fairgrounds in Broadus, MT with the first class beginning promptly at 8am on each day. The trail class will run from 11am to 3pm each day and is set up so that competitors can access it in between their other classes. Judges will be different for each day and each day will count as a seperate show for point totals.Entries will open at 6pm on Friday, July 23rd, 2010 and 7am on Saturday, July 24th and Sunday July 25th, 2010.

Office charge is $5.00 per competitor per day.
Stalls are $10 per night

Broadus Motels - (406)436-2626
Broadus Motels owns and operates all the motel facilities in Broadus and also the campgrounds with hookups and showers adjacent to the fairgrounds. Accomodations may be in high demand this time of year due to a target shooting competition in town this same weekend so please call ahead and reserve your rooms.
The fairgrounds does not have stalls but does have portable panels available and stalls will be constructed inside the barn or adjacent to the barn. The wash rack will be available and bathrooms are on site. Showers are unavailable.
Concessions will be on the grounds during both days.

. You may send us your entry ahead of time along with payment. Entering in advance is advantageous particularly on Saturday morning. Classes begin promptly at 8am and there is always a rush at the entry booth. Halter classes must be entered prior to 7:30am. Don't miss your class! Sign up early.
